This landscape was the winning design featured on the HGTV
program “Landscaper’s Challenge”. The West Seattle family chose Colleen’s design
to be installed for their 2 daughters in 2006. The theme of the garden is
feminine, playful and artistic, with the playhouse taking center stage. The
garden features two raised garden “beds”, with vintage “headboards”, one for
each child to grow their own flowers and vegetables. A covered pergola with
seating area and fountain provides a comfortable area for adults to relax while
the kids play. Butterfly and hummingbird gardens give hours of entertainment,
as do plenty of flowers for bouquets.
