This Port Orchard family built a lovely home on a large, sloped
lot. The main focus of the landscape design was to retain and utilize the
extreme slope at the back of the house while optimizing stellar views of Puget
Sound. The hardscape stone (walls, paths, fountain, firepit) ties into the color
of the stone façade on the home as do the low maintenance plantings in warm
tones of red, orange and burgundy foliage. The newly terraced walled patio
affords ample room for entertaining, an enclosed space for children to play and
different elevations of planting beds to prevent erosion and provide interesting
views in all directions. The multi-level stone water feature is the main focal
point when entering the property. Sitting on the patio, one is enveloped in the
sound of falling water.
